Item Specifications and Additional Information: LVD/SE SCSI Terminator ICs 36 Pin SSOP Package The DS2118M is a low-voltage differential and a single ended terminator. The multimode operation allows two things to be accomplished, LVD can be implemented in current products and and at the same time allows SE-backward compatibility with legacy parts by the end user. LVD termination will be used by the DS2118M if it is connected in an LVD-only bus. SE termination will be used if there are any SE devices connected. This all happens automatically inside the device when the voltage is sensed on the SCSI bus DIFFSENS line.
