The TJA1050 transceiver is the interface between the controller area network controller and the physical bus. It is usually used in automotive applications that have baud rates from 60 kbaud to 1 Mbaud. The CAN protocol controller gets differential receiver capability from the TJA1050. The device also gives differential transmit capability to the bus.
