The use of advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology in the MM74HC32MX creates operating speeds comparable to the LS-TTL gates with the low power consumption of standard CMOS integrated circuits. The internal diode clamps from VCC and ground protect the inputs from damage that may be caused by static discharge.
