Item Specifications and Additional Information: On Off Logic ICs Obsolete Part SO24 Package The SAA1305T has 8 inputs, each with accurate Schmitt triggers and circuit clamps. It is an on/off logic integrated circuit, it's primary purpose is as an intelligent I/O expander. The SAA1305T has 2 operating states. The first is as a normal I/O expander where the microcontroller is running and it is the slave. In the second state, sleep mode of the entire application, the microcontroller stops and the SAA1305T acts like a master. If an event occurs the microcontroller wakes up. This on/off logic IC was designed to use in automobile radios to interface between a microcontroller and other input signals like ignition, on/off key, and outside control signals.
