Item Specifications and Additional Information: Voltage Regulators D2PAK Package The LM317 is designed to be used as a positive adjustable voltage regulator. It is a monolithic integrated circuit. The output voltage of this device is adjustable over a range from 1.2V to 37V and supplies over 1.5A of load current. A resistive divider is used to pick the nominal output voltage. This makes the LM317 very easy to use and can eliminate the need for keeping a number of fixed regulators on hand.
