The Schottky Barrier principle is used in these axial lead rectifiers in a large area metal-to-silicon diode. Features include epitaxial construction with oxide passivation and metal overlap contact.
Ideal applications for use as rectifers in low voltage, high frequency inverters, free wheeling diodes, and polarity protection diodes.
Case is molded epoxy and all of the external surfaces are corrosion resistant. The terminal leads are readily solderable. Mounting surface and lead temperature for soldering purposes is 10 seconds @ 220°C max., 1/16" from the case.
