These 2 watt military resistors consist of a small tube with the carbon composite material inside. This construction produces a small amount of material in the signal. Carbon comp resistors also differ from film resistors in that there is always inductance. Carbon composite resistors are popular with audio and guitar enthusiasts due to their very clean and natural sound properties.
