Arranged as 65,536 words x 1 bit, the CY7C187 is a high power CMOS static RAM. Expanding memory is easier due to the active LOW CE (chip enable)and tri state-drivers. When the automatic power-down feature on the CY7C187 is deselected power consumption is decreased by 56%. In order to assure alpha immunity the CY7C187 uses a die coat.
