The ADM1485 is a differential line transceiver. It is ideal for high speed bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. This devices provides balanced data transmission and meets RS-485 and RS422 EIA standards. This part is made up of a differential line driver and a differential line receiver which can both be enabled separately.
