Additional Information

180pF 1000V Ceramic Disc Capacitors

Ceramic Disc Capacitors are used in many applications such as blocking; by-pass; pulse logic; timing circuits and for general purpose projects.

A ceramic disc capacitor has a ceramic dielectric. Ceramic disc capacitors typically have radial leads and are flat and round in appearance.

Ceramic discs were developed before transistors and were used in the 30's through the 50's in vacuum tube equipment like radio receivers. Up through the 1980's, ceramic disc capacitors were utilized in discrete transistor designs. They provide a high level of capacity coupled with a smaller size at a low price point as compared with other lower value capacitors.
