The AX-808 is a high quality plunger style desoldering pump also known as a solder sucker. A solder sucker is used to remove heated solder from components on a circuit board making them easier to remove and less likely to damage the PC board or other components.

The AX-808 is easy to operate, simply push the button down setting the spring loaded plunger in place which creates a vacuum, melt the solder on the component or board, place the nozzle on the melted solder, then press the button on the side to release the vacuum and suck up the solder. Once the solder has been removed the component can then be replaced if defective or saved for a future project.
