Project Boxes & Enclosures
A project box can be used for a variety of applications. A few examples are to house electrical circuits, hold batteries, or to protect wires, cords and other electronic devices. All of these applications have two things in common, the enclosure keeps everything in one place and makes it more aesthetically appealing.
Project boxes come in a multitude of styles, sizes, shapes and colors. Some have hinged lids, some use screws while others simply snap together. Materials used to construct these enclosures also vary, ABS plactic, aluminum, fiberglass and even wood just to name a few. The boxes can be water tight or just weather resistant while others made strictly for indoor use. Many of the smaller electronic enclosure boxes come with card slots on the inside. These are used to hold perf boards with circuit designs on them and keep them from sliding around. Project boxes can be portable or mounted. To avoid drilling through the bottom of a case to mount it there are options that come with mounting tabs.
